Do you struggle with productivity? Are you always striving to get your task list accomplished but end up constantly moving tasks to the next day? Have you tried all the productivity tips to no avail? Are you trying and trying but find yourself left feeling even more frustrated?

Let’s look at some common tips on productivity:

  • Create a To-Do List the Night Before

Instead of waking up in the morning to make your to-do list, make your list the night before. This way you can go to bed relaxed and confident for the next day. You also wake up in the morning knowing exactly what you have planned for the day. You might also consider planning on Sunday night for the upcoming week. Then when you wake on Monday you have a plan in place.

  • Prioritize

Take a look at the tasks on your list. What tasks offer the largest return? What tasks offer the most value and achievement? For example, answering emails or paying bills isn’t a task that offers a large return. However, making a sale or meeting with a client is a very productive task. Put your most profitable or results-oriented tasks first on your list.

  • Get a Good Night’s Sleep

The quality of your sleep is important to sustain your energy levels throughout your day. Good sleep means you’ll be fresh and energetic all day long. Creating a to-do list is a good way to help you get a good night’s sleep because you can put the day’s stresses to rest.

Also, consider adding soothing nighttime rituals to your routine. For example, meditate, stretch, or read before you go to bed. Keep a gratitude journal and write before you sleep. Go to bed and wake at the same time to help your body know what to expect.

  • Eat Healthy

The food you eat has a direct correlation to how energetic and productive you are. Junk food will make you sluggish. Healthy food will help you stay energized all day long. Feed your body well and it will respond by keeping you alert and energetic.

  • Get Organized

If you spend half your time searching for files, names, and numbers, you are wasting time. Make sure any items that you use on a regular basis are easy to grab from your desk chair or find on your computer. They should be easy to find and use.

  • Take Breaks

Productivity doesn’t mean working from sun-up to sundown. In fact, if you work without stopping, you’re likely to burn out. Instead, commit to taking a break every hour. Walk around or get some air to get the blood moving throughout your body.

  • Focus

Do you multi-task hoping it’ll make you more productive? Do you manage one task while your mind is already onto the next task? Both habits are unproductive. When you focus on what you’re doing, not only is the task more enjoyable, it also gets done faster and better.

These are good tips to improve productivity. They make sense, right? Have they worked for you? Have you created a lasting outcome? What is missing? For real productivity, the KEY is to go beyond behavior and BECOME a productive person. How to become a productive person? Raise your consciousness and you will find that you automatically become more productive.

Did you know there is a link between dignity and productivity? A person with dignity will take care of himself or herself. They will do the things they have committed themselves to do. They will not accept living in chaos and confusion. They command rather than demand.

Dignity and productivity go hand in hand. They are both qualities that come with raising your consciousness. Dignity is how you think about yourself. Do you value yourself? Do you value your space? Do you value your time? Do you honor your word – not just to others but to yourself as well? Try focusing on becoming more dignified and you may just see your productivity increase!

A dignified and productive person will pay attention to the outcome versus the process. Is what you are doing getting outcome? How much? Is the outcome worth the time and effort you put into it? Are you clear and focused on what you want to get done?

Productive people will put most of their attention on the present and the future. They will think of the past only when it helps them evaluate what to do and what not to do. They will not repeat mistakes. What a waste of time to repeat mistakes! They recognize what is useful and what is not useful. They don’t sit in a pile of energetic and physical “garbage” and lament that they are working so hard but not getting outcome.

Productivity is not about the amount of time you spend working. It is more about efficiency and getting outcome. Step back and look at the big picture. Take a look at who you are and what you need to change. See your weaknesses and let yourself feel the shame. Use that shame to propel you to reach for higher states within yourself. Also look at your strengths and talents. How can they be used to increase your productivity? Be dignified! Be productive! Do this from the inside out not just behavior.
Make it who you are.

Let’s take a look at the energy body in terms of productivity. Your ajna chakra (the one between your eyebrows) is related to your intelligent will. The solar plexus chakra is the center for the emotional will- a lower type of will. When a person is more developed they predominantly use their ajna chakra for intelligent, active directing. The basic chakra, which is located at the base of the spine, provides the energy to carry out that will. Both are needed to be productive. The will brings the purpose and the basic chakra brings the power to manifest your objective. Purpose without power goes nowhere and power without purpose will dissolve. A person that gets a lot done would have highly activated and energized ajna and basic charkas. When you change from the inside out your energy body will change. When you follow someone’s steps to be productive without changing yourself from the inside your energy body will remain where it was and it is very hard to get lasting results.

With higher consciousness you develop accurate perception and correct expression and you naturally become more productive. Accurate perception is seeing things the right way and with honesty. There are no illusions about what you can and cannot do. Your goals are realistic. Correct expression is the implementation of your will when that will is in alignment with your spirit.

When you become a productive person the tips above will become more useful.
You have to make productivity a part of your character. Then it will no longer be reverse engineering. When you have the needed qualities then the experts’ advice or tips begin to make more of a difference and are easier to implement.
